Tas Severis

Tas Severis is a professional artist working from his Nottingham studio. He is relaxed yet passionate about his work - there is much breadth to his art, as he works in many medium and his style varies from graphic realism to loose and abstract. His first love is with oil but for some time now the emphasis of his work has been in pastel supported by acrylic ink, watercolour and collagraph. The choice of medium determines the style and variation of work.

During the last few years, Tas has made many visits to North Yorkshire and North Norfolk. These visits have inspired a collection of pastels: from North Yorkshire, coastal scenes, rooftops and seagulls; from North Norfolk, large skies feature in all their splendour with sunrises, sunsets, boats and water.

The acrylic inks are from moorland views. Tas has a unique style and bases his paintings on observation of weather patterns and their effect on the landscape. Interpretation is left to the viewer - reminiscent of places familiar.

Gollagraphs reflect Tas's graphic side. This technique of print making is lesser known than traditional etching but it appeals to Tas as it enables him to work on a large scale. Although Tas uses land- and seascapes as inspiration, his most popular subjects are of his figure drawing.

Tas has won many awards for his pastel work and he has exhibited in London and across the country and has work in private collections worldwide. The following works are all available as limited edition Giclee prints. Please contact us for details and prices.
