Mac Gregory
There are few treats that come one's way but one to look forward to is an exhibition by Mac Gregory. Not only is he a talented artist but he is unique in his portrayal of a much underrated landscape - The Fens. His powerful yet ethereal representation brings a longing calm and solitude to the great legacy of the Dutch masters of the Fens.
The calming storm and inquiring colours in construction appear as landscapes, suggests what is beyond the particular, also hint at what has been and what is yet to come, so that his work becomes a focus on something deeper, something which cannot easily be held within a picture frame, as he interprets nature rather than copies it.
The joy of expression and the deliverance of colour in the rich tapestry woven by a master in his interpretation of a much loved and disappeared land. Lost to youth and longed for by the elders, who knew and understood this powerful and soulful countryside known as the Fens.
Mac Gregory studied at Cambridge and Chelsea and now lives in Boston. He has exhibited at major galleries in London, France, Germany, Scandinavia, India and the USA.
The following works are all available as limited edition Giclee prints. Please contact us for details and prices.
